If users could set an arbitrary preferred color on the desktop it might be used for a default Debian 12 background image too. The animation shows many color values for the same backdrop.
A similar personalisation approach was introduced in Android 12. And the 2021 Apple relaunch was praised for the possibility to chose devices in different colors.
